SHORTER WAIT TIMES
1. We have seen approvals in as little as 4-hours
2. Most new applicants are seeing approvals in under 30 days.
3. Shorter wait times are NOT GUARANTEED.
4. Shorter wait times seem only to apply to those who are filing as "Individual".
5. Wait times for those with a Trust do not seem to have been shortened.
6. Shorter wait times seem to only apply to new applications... those who have been waiting many months, are still waiting many months.
7. The ATF is giving no explanation for why some are getting quick approvals and others are not, nor is there a reason it applies only to new applicants.
8. If you have purchased a suppressor from Concept Arms, and have been waiting over 4 months, we have a couple of tricks up our sleeve that might help. Come in to inquire.
If you are buying a suppressor from Concept Arms, we will help walk you through the NFA process from start to finish. We will take as much of the struggle out of it as possible.
It is recommended that you check in your guns to get your muzzle device(s) installed well before you anticipate getting your tax stamp approval. That way, when you are ready to pick up the suppressor, you do not have to check the guns in before using your new toy!
If you purchase your muzzle device from Concept Arms, we will install it on your gun for 50% of our standard installation fee.
During the time your suppressor is in our "NFA JAIL" we allow a one-time "conjugal visit".
An ATF Form One is the application for tax stamp approval for an SBR, SBS or a Self-Manufactured Firearm
The process is complex and involved. We will assist you through the process, but it requires an appointment and for you to be in the store during the process. You will have to check in your firearm, where it will remain until you get tax stamp approval.
Traditional NFA Trust's are for as many NFA items as you'd like:
SBR's / SBS's / Suppressor's / Transferrable Machine Guns
Concept Arms can walk you through the entire process of setting up a Traditional Trust.
And, it is typically much less expensive (up to 70% cheaper) for us to do it than a lawyer.
Plus, we are experienced in the NFA process, therefore, we know exactly what is required.
NFA Trust Setup, to include notarizing, printing, scanning, filing, etc.: $400.00
NOTE: If you have your Traditional Trust created elsewhere, there is a $150 charge for Concept Arms to audit the Trust (there almost always is more information required.) Then, we'll scan, upload to Silencer Shop, follow-thru to make sure everything is in order to meet requirements.
1. If you are planning to purchase multiple suppressors, SBR's, SBS's or Transferrable Machine Guns, having a trust may be the right option for you.
2. You will not "own" the NFA items, the Trust you create, will own them.
3. As with any Trust, you would typically have both Trustee's and Beneficiaries.
4. Trustees have equal access to the items within the Trust while Beneficiaries only have access if the Trustee(s) have passed away.
4a. EXAMPLE: A father may want his son to be able to take one of the suppressors to another state to go hunting. If the son is a Trustee, he can legally do so.
4b. EXAMPLE: A husband may want his wife to have unlimited access to his NFA items in the event of his demise without having to complete a paperwork and background checks. Being a Trustee, allows her full access to all NFA items within the Trust.
